How to specify Drive Pulley
A drive pulley transfers torque to the conveyor belt. Selection must consider belt traction and mechanical loading together, including the drive interface and working environment. Lagging choice is only one part of the drive design and does not replace a belt-tension review.
Information to include in your inquiry
Provide drive power, operating speed, belt tensions and wrap angle. Include shell diameter, face width, bearing centers, shaft extensions and coupling details. Describe wet or muddy operation and the current lagging condition when requesting a replacement or a different lagging arrangement.
